Lansdowne Road Stadium

Lansdowne Road Stadium Development Company has chosen Asite Project Workflow as the solution of choice for their project.

Asite Project Workflow is a valuable tool for all document management, information sharing and project communication. It enables project teams to review documents and better control project processes.

Asite will also provide the necessary emphasis on facilitating the cultural exchange to maximise the use of their technology for all individuals involved. This will be achieved through comprehensive consultation and ongoing training.

Recognising the need to support the country’s love for sport, the Irish Rugby Football Union (IRFU) and the Football Association of Ireland (FAI) drove the initiative for re-developing the Lansdowne Road Stadium. The IRFU and FAI formed a new company, Lansdowne Road Stadium Development Company Limited (LRSDC) specifically for this large scale project.

The announcement was made in September 2004 by John O'Donoghue, Minister for the Arts, Sport and Tourism. The stadium will under go a full make over and will be turned into a massive 50 000 capacity all-seater stadium.

On January 12th 2006 the planning application for the Lansdowne Road development project was lodged by LRSDC with the Dublin City Council. The budget for the project is €365 million with the Government providing €191 million towards the funding.
