		      <title>Asite Expands Presence in American Market</title>
		      <link>/index.php/company/news-and-events/2012/04/asite-expands-presence-in-american-market/</link>
		      <guid>/index.php/company/news-and-events/2012/04/asite-expands-presence-in-american-market/#When:13:56:55Z</guid>
		      <description>The leading European provider of collaborative cloud solutions today announced the expansion of its American operations with the establishment of new offices in both New York and San Francisco. This builds on Asite&amp;rsquo;s impressive global results; including being named the Best Project Planning Solution for 2011 in the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) industries and posting a 44% growth in revenue whilst tripling profit compared to 2010.
Tony Ryan, Asite CEO, says &quot;We continue to focus on exceeding our growth targets year on year &amp;ndash; a goal which the team has achieved every year since 2006. We are now continuing the measured expansion of our successful AEC focus into the USA along with renewed attention on the Middle East and Australasia. We aim to support the delivery of our industry&#45;defining cloud platform and suite of collaborative Software&#45;as&#45;a&#45;Service (SaaS) solutions to all markets via our direct efforts and those of our partner community. &quot;
According to independent research firm Forrester&amp;rsquo;s report &quot;Sizing the Cloud&quot;, the global cloud computing market will reach $241 billion in 2020 with SaaS offering more growth opportunity than any other segment in the still largely vague market for cloud computing services. SaaS will retain its position as a leading segment in cloud computing with the SaaS market growing three&#45;fold to $92.8 billion by 2016.
Asite COO Nathan Doughty says, &quot;Asite&amp;rsquo;s continued growth in the US is a natural result of supporting the global operations of our customers. They are running some of the largest and most capital&#45;intensive engineering projects in the world today using Asite solutions. We are in business to support them as they work to achieve true collaborative working with their supply chains. Our direct presence on both coasts of the US market will mean an improved service for both our customers and our partner community.&quot;
Details about Asite&amp;rsquo;s new offices in New York City and San Francisco&amp;nbsp;can be found here.

		      <description>As part of our continued promise to support the Architecture, Engineering and Construction sector in utilizing cloud technology so businesses can share and coordinate information with their partners, customers, and suppliers in a secure environment in the cloud, we are pleased to announce the upcoming beta release of the next generation of Asite cBIM&amp;trade;. cBIM integrates the BIM coordination workflow with sourcing, construction management, and procurement processes within one single easy&#45;to&#45;use platform for delivering collaborative applications via the web and mobile devices.
cBIM will enable you to:

Selectively share your project model or individual BIM worksets with project partners
Create a clear audit trail by tracking version control and updates to the model&amp;nbsp;
Merge multiple model files and worksets from different project partners and different design tools into one central model
View the differences between model file revisions
Collaboratively review, interact and mark up model files in the integrated 3D viewer
Associate model views, component schedules (lists), and mark&#45;ups with workflows and track actions across your team&amp;nbsp;
Tightly integrate your project document control and construction management system with your BIM coordination process
Automatically generate reports such as Bills of Quantities (BOQ) from the model on a scheduled basis
Truly connect the commercial aspects of your project to the design itself

The benefits of cBIM:

Bring visibility and control to shared Building Information Models helping deliver the true potential of BIM and Integrated Project Delivery&amp;nbsp;
A truly interoperable and collaborative approach to modelling and model management makes it easier to work with distributed teams and disparate systems
Eliminates errors from designing in isolation by viewing your design in the context of the overall model
Reduces the risk of on&#45;site problems with early clash detection &amp;ndash; both of physical clashes and specification clashes&amp;nbsp;
Immediately review how the design has progressed during development and track critical decision making
Centralise storage of all versions of your models in a collaborative online environment
View and walk through the overall project model and access the rich data contained in the project model without expensive software&amp;nbsp;
Stores and integrates model files from leading BIM design tools in the market&amp;nbsp;

&amp;ldquo;Asite has delivered on my Rethinking Construction vision with the release of cBIM.&quot;Sir John Egan, author of Rethinking Construction
For more information about cBIM, contact us here or meet us at ICE&#45;BIM in London or Ecobuild America&amp;nbsp;in Washington D.C. to discuss this in person with a member of the Asite team.&amp;nbsp;
