In the Asite Portal you have the power to completely customise your own working environment - design what you see and how it looks. Each of the windows of functionality that you use to create your personalised view is a mini-application called a 'portlet'.

Asite provides dozens of portlets out of the box. The ones we've designed offer you a variety of collaboration and reporting options. Some portlets are provided by large software services companies such as Google, Yahoo, and Microsoft, and then there are those provided by smaller companies focused on solving very specific problems for your industry.

Want to bring content from your Sharepoint web-part into the Asite portal homepage in real-time? Want to pull supply chain data from the Asite platform straight into your sharepoint web-parts? No problem. They are compatible and connection is easy!

Above and beyond the supply chain management portlets - which come as standard, we've got newsfeeds, blog readers, forums and wikis specific to your business or project teams. We've also got social networking and single-sign-on portlets with your enterprise systems, the list goes on. The portlet specification is an open standard and the Asite platform is open for our users and partners to develop their own portlets and incorporate them into their personalised view - or even share them with colleagues, the supply-chain, and beyond.
