Over
the next five years, Avanti will support live construction project
teams in adopting integrated, collaborative working. This will
be achieved by providing a standard method of data exchange and
information management between team members, and access to experts
who can help implement the method. It will provide help to implement
best practice procedures in design management and provide guidance
on the use of software and information standards.
Asite will be
supporting the Avanti programme by:
- Providing the programme's web-site & internal
communication tool
- Providing the programme's support tool to allow participating
projects to access the Avanti toolkit
- Promoting the availability
of the Avanti resource for flagship Asite projects using Asite's
collaboration tool, Asite Project Workflow.
If you're involved in the early stages of a project using Asite Project
Workflow and would like to propose your project for expert advice
and mentoring, through the Avanti programme, please:
- See the Avanti
website for an application form.
- Speak to your Asite account manager for further information.
There
are a limited number of opportunities for further projects to receive
support from the scheme. The DTI has provided funding for the support
of training, technology implementation and change management for
projects using collaborative approaches.
Sir John
Egan, Chairman, Asite plc, says, " Asite
is delighted to have been chosen to support the Avanti programme
as it shares many of our key objectives. At the core of Asite's
work, is a dedication to furthering the development of collaborative
technologies so that all members of the construction team can access
the same consistent set of data. At the same time, we also have
a strong appreciation of the need for collaborative working to
reflect the right process, to ensure the highest quality of production
information. In this way, we can help achieve a reduction in costly
rework and ensure real cost savings on construction projects."
