Job Description

At Asite Solutions, we are looking to fill a Digital Engineering Consultant role.

A successful applicant will become part of the Professional Servicies team within the Digital Engineering division. Key aspects of the role will be to consultant and implement digital engineering solutions to current and new Asite customers. The ideal candidate is for someone who is comfortable and confident dealing with large organisations, with some experience or as a miniumum, an understanding of the workings of the AEC industry. They will have a determination required to introduce new technologies across a challenging landscape and are capable of being highly productive in any environment. Most importantly, they need an appetite to learn.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of the construction industry (whether through work experience or degree course)
  • Interest in technology
  • Problem-solver, capable of efficiently providing complex solutions 
  • Capable of working in a dynamic environment
  • Open to working in a new, but rapidly growing business
  • Understanding of BIM

Benficial

  • Knowledge of BS1192:2 and PAS1192:2
  • Use of modelling design software (Revit, Bentley, Vectorworks, etc.)
  • Passion for new thinking and technologies
  • Entreprenurial mindset
  • Able to maintain high productivity when out of the office environment
  • Strong work ethic
  • Experience within the AEC industry for familiarity of terminology
  • Highly versatile

Day in the life of

  • There will be no standard day to day agenda for a successful applicant following initial training, instead the role requires a highly adaptive person to efficiently perform tasks defined by either clients or the Digital Engineering team. 
  • The core principles will be to support clients, consultants and contractors to deliver better productivity and more efficient projects across the AEC industry.
  • The importance of BIM will be central to this, although knowledge of any specific softwares is not required a background in either this or the BS1192:2 and PAS1192:2 would offer great value .
  • A key trait will be to understand business processes across Asite’s cliental, interpret those processes in alignment with the Asite platform, but then also be able to advise beyond the software.
  • Following initial training and subsequent client experience, there will be various opporunities to travel, an applicant needs to be comfortable with this, both nationally and internationally, potentially on a regular basis.
