Asite has signed a framework agreement for the use of our web-based collaboration product for the 'Design for life: Building for Wales' Initiative. The NHS in Wales has selected Asite's unified suite of tools from amongst the competition as it offers the fullest feature set for supply chains collaboration in the construction industry.

The new All Wales Construction Procurement Initiative for major capital projects is funded by the National Assembly for Wales. The 'Design for Life: Building for Wales' Initiative is based on the development of long term strategic partnerships, integrated supply chains and collaborative working. This initiative will include all Welsh NHS future construction projects over £5 million for the next four years and has an overall budget of £800 million.

Three main contractors have been selected: HBG UK Ltd, Interserve Health Wales and Laing O'Rourke. The three contractors will use Asite's collaboration tool for all the forthcoming projects of the 'Design for Life: Building for Wales' Initiative.

This agreement reinforces Asite's position as a market leader, building on our strong experience in the construction sector for the NHS and our existing framework agreement with the Office of Government Commerce. This experience makes the company the prime choice for collaboration tools in the public sector. In addition to the uniquely broad feature set of our product suite, Asite designed a framework agreement tailored to the needs of Welsh Health Estates and this marked a clear difference from the competition.

Tony Ryan, Chief Executive of Asite commented, "This contract between the Welsh Heath Estates and Asite demonstrates that collaboration tools are not only about a set of features, but also about the services provided with the tool and how the provider integrates with its client. This integration is what Asite is about and today, it made us the winner."
