11th November, Mayfair Conference Centre, 17 Connaught Place , London

The 5th annual Construction Marketing Conference on November 11th focuses on the theme ‘What Clients Want' and will shed light on critical issues from procurement trends and best practice, to how construction clients score and select bidders. Now firmly established as the construction marketing event of the year, the conference is organised by MarketingWorks, the specialist in marketing consulting and training for the construction industry.

The event is aimed at all those concerned in the construction supply chain and brings together leading industry clients and experts to share their knowledge and experience and provide practical advice. In addition to the full day of conference sessions, the event also provides an unique networking forum for the construction industry.

Chaired by Don Ward, Chief Executive at Be, the conference will include presentations from senior figures from NHS Estates, Highways Agency, Argent Group, Lewisham Council, Traico, Nottingham Trent University , University of Reading , as well as the Construction Clients' Group and the Task Force for Construction and Constructing Excellence.

"If suppliers do not understand their clients' wants, needs and requirements in a rapidly changing environment, their bids will most likely end up in the bin," said Philip Collard, Managing Director of MarketingWorks. "Based on five years of running this event and feedback from our delegates, the clear message we were receiving is that there is still a big gap between what clients want and what they often get. This is reflected in a record number of early delegate registrations; this is an event that no-one who wants to win more business can afford to miss."

"The title of the conference recognises that by the industry listening to clients, and vice versa, the client can help drive the process of positive change," said Chris Morley, Executive Director of the Construction Clients' Group. "The conference provides an ideal forum to highlight these issues and promises to be one of the best events of the year."
