On June 29, 2017, Tony Ryan, CEO of Asite and Lorenzo Gallo from The Safety Group, amongst other BASICS members were cordially invited to attend the second Build America Round Table on Capitol Hill. Build America was hosted by the members of the House Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure (T&I) and the Congressional Black Caucus (CBC) with panelists that included top level executives of companies such as Clark Construction, PARSONS, AECOM, Jacobs Engineering, SKANSKA, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and others. The focus of the briefing was to bring attention to large-scale projects that will help improve the nation’s infrastructure and to also bring into consideration T&I and CBC’s focus on minority contractors and workers’ full participation in these vital projects.
