[London, UK – Tuesday, 17th March] - Asite, a leading platform for information management in the built environment, has announced the release of 8 new AI Agents under its Cognitive CDE™ platform. Together, the Agents enable secure AI adoption across construction and infrastructure projects.
The built environment is under increasing pressure to deliver programmes faster, comply with more stringent regulations, and manage rapidly expanding volumes of project data. Despite this, many organizations remain hesitant to deploy AI on secure projects. Asite’s Cognitive CDE™ aims to bridge that gap by operationalizing AI within the structured controls of the Common Data Environment (CDE).
The first 8 Cognitive CDE™ AI Agents function inside Asite’s security vetted architecture. They retrieve information, validate submissions, and automate repetitive workflows while maintaining role-based access controls and full auditability. The Agents do not learn from, retain, or repurpose customer project data.
Following the release of the Asite Cognitive CDE™ in May 2025, Beta program participants reported measurable improvements across three core areas:
1. Accelerated Information Retrieval
Agents such as DeepDive, eDiscovery, Image Search, and the MS Teams Agent enable users to interrogate vast volumes of structured and unstructured project data stored within the CDE using natural language. Project teams can extract requirements from thousand-page documents, locate precise answers across entire project repositories, and ask questions from within Microsoft Teams. Every response is traceable to its source document, reducing manual searching while maintaining full auditability.
2. Streamlined Processes at Scale
The MS Excel Agent removes administrative friction from high-volume tasks. Bulk queries from spreadsheets can be processed instantly against project documentation, supporting audits, RFP responses, and compliance reviews.
3. Proactive Validation
The 3D Data Validation Agent strengthens governance by checking 3D BIM models against defined standards and contractual requirements. By identifying non-compliance and anomalies earlier, delivery teams can reduce rework, avoid delays, and improve programme assurance across capital projects.
"For our clients, Cognitive CDE delivers three things: faster access to trusted project information, less administrative drag through workflow automation, and confidence that every output remains permissioned and auditable. It’s governed AI built for the realities of complex, secure construction and infrastructure programmes.”
— Mahmoud Hleihel, Chief Strategy Officer at Asite.
“Cognitive CDE embeds AI directly within a structured, security-approved data environment. Our AI Agents operate against project datasets, respecting permissions and audit trails just like the rest of the CDE. This results in repeatable information delivery what enables scalable automation across complex construction and infrastructure projects.”
— Dr Jozef Doboš, Chief Digital Officer at Asite.
The 8 AI Agents represent the next phase of innovation under Asite’s Cognitive CDE™, with further capabilities already in development.
