Asite, a cloud-based, Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) provider, Headquartered in London, is pleased to announce the appointment of Alex Severino as Vice President Sales – North America.
In his new role, Alex will be responsible for accelerating the growth of Asite services in the North American market.
Alex has over 25 years of leadership experience in the building industry, 17 of these years have been spent in the AEC technology arena. Most recently Alex was employed with Autodesk, Inc., in Chicago, where he spent the last 10 years launching and taking to volume BIM products such as Revit and Navisworks.
Alex said “After 10 years at Autodesk helping design and construction firms to implement and embrace BIM technologies, I was looking for an opportunity to further advance the use of BIM and VDC in the Building Industry. I researched the global construction IT market and found that Asite is a clear leader in the areas of Collaborative BIM and Procurement in the cloud, with a track record of success in the global AEC and Infrastructure markets. Asite is doing a tremendous job converging BIM, Big Data, and Software as a Service, so that all participants, starting with owners, get maximum benefit from the Information in the BIM model. I am excited to bring Asite’s Adoddle platform to the North American market.”
Prior to joining Autodesk, Alex was employed at Intergraph Corporation in San Francisco where he sold enterprise 3D modeling software to large EPC firms such as Bechtel and Kvaerner Metals, and clients such as Chevron, Bayer and the National Labs. In addition to experience in the construction industry, Alex spent 12 years in sales and marketing with building product manufacturers, selling to contractors, distributors, in both commercial and residential construction.
Alex has an MBA from Northwestern University and a professional degree in Architecture from the University of Notre Dame. He will be based out of our Chicago Asite office.
